Terms and Conditions

Please read the terms and conditions for the WWOOF NZ video competition listed below. Please note that by submitting an entry electronically, you have read the terms and conditions and have agreed to and accepted these rules.

Video Contest Terms and Conditions:

• Your video must not infringe on any third party rights or contain any names, logos, or seals of any government agency, company, or organisation – excluding WWOOF NZ trademark or copyrighted materials.

• All videos must acknowledge any music used in the video by naming the artist(s) and the song(s) at some point in the video. Music may be used within the guidelines of Fair Use. Fair use is any copying of copyrighted material done for a limited and “transformative” purpose such as commentary, criticism, or parody. “Fair” uses do not require permission from the copyright owner.

• Each applicant submitting a video must have full copyrights to the material, including sound effects and music if used. Submissions must not include any obscene, violent, racist or defamatory content or any endorsements of products or services.

• Any entry submitted must be the work of the individual or team submitting it. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any videos they submit have been filmed with the permission of the subject(s) and/or venue/location and does not infringe the copyright of any third party. The entrant shall be liable and provide compensation in the event of any action, claim or proceedings brought against WWOOF NZ by a third party as a result of infringement of existing copyright caused by the entrant in participation to the competition.

• The entrant warrants that they have obtained permission of those featuring in the video (or, where the video features any persons under 16 years of age, the consent of their parent/guardian) for the usage rights required by the competition and will indemnify WWOOF against any claims made by any third parties in respect of such infringement.

• Entrants may only enter the competition online and by submitting their entries in accordance with the video guidelines set out for this competition. There are no monetary costs to enter the competition.

• By entering the competition, entrants acknowledge that their entries may be used in publicity without further payment.

• By submitting your video, you are giving WWOOF-NZ permission to share your video and use it publicly.

• All videos need to contain the WWOOF NZ Logo at the beginning, end, or both. The graphic can be found here: https://wwoof.nz/wwoof-nz-logog/)

• To participate you must be a current WWOOF New Zealand member.

• Deadline for submissions is Tuesday 11th August, 2020.

• We will announce the winners through our Facebook page and Instagram account for WWOOF NZ on Tuesday 18th August, 2020. We will also send a private e-mail to the winners.

• WWOOF NZ reserve the right to remove any entries from the competition that they feel may breach any of the competition rules or terms and conditions.

• This competition is administered by WWOOF New Zealand

• The video must be filmed in New Zealand

• The winners will be notified by email within seven working days of the winner being selected.

• WWOOF NZ will endeavour to contact the winner with arrangements for the prizes for a period of two weeks following the announcement of the competition winners. In the event that WWOOF NZ is unable to contact the winner in this notification period, WWOOF NZ reserves the right to reallocate the cash prize.

• A list of all the video entries that abide by the terms and conditions will be made available for the public on the WWOOF NZ website and some will feature on the WWOOF NZ social media pages.

• All entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which may be amended or varied at any time by WWOOF NZ on notice.

• Once you have submitted a video, you agree to give WWOOF NZ the right to use your video for any promotional purposes on any social media platform and the WWOOF NZ site without further payment.

• Do not include any personal information that can personally identify an individual. This includes an address, license plate, contact number or email address

• There will be 7 winners: 2 First prizes of $750 (one Host and one WWOOFer), 2 second Prizes of $350 (one Host and one WWOOFer), 2 third Prizes of $150 (one Host and one WWOOFer), and one Prize for the most likes of $500. Prize totalling $3000 cash prizes to be awarded.
